Papa Ya has quickly cornered the feel-good house vibes predominantly heard in their singles, like “Fine Livin”. To help carry on the feel-good tradition, they tapped Evan Gartner to remix their latest infectious single, “Sunny“.
The track begins with a nostalgic feel as the first thing we hear are the sounds of a record being placed on a record player. The ensuing muffled drums give the track an old-time feel, while filtered chords are put under Papa Ya’s unmistakable vocals. The once-evident house track is effectively transformed into a future bass hit as the drop rolls in. Filled with skillfully placed vocal chops and spacious chords, the track will still have you dancing.
