Of all the electronic music coming out these days, there’s very little of it that I would describe as “ravey” – it’s just not a word I use all that often. Then again, I hadn’t yet heard PatrickReza’s “Choices.”
Beginning with some heavily distorted pads and moving onto a full-fledged, ADHD drop with swirling synths and frenetic percussion, when this drops, you can expect a full dose of cryo and insane lasers. It goes into a short bridge before once again descending into absolute rave madness.
What “Choices” does so well is in taking popular EDM tropes like the playful synths or the high-pitched vocals and chops and actually making a song out of it, rather than just a “track.” Check it out below and see what I mean:
