Just when you thought David Guetta was on his way out, he finds a way to slip back into everyone’s life. Dubset, a tech company who’s software crawls songs for used samples, recently released their Mix Transparency Report which was packed with interesting results.
In the report, Dubset released data showing the top 25 most samples artists and tracks. Surprisingly, David Guetta beat out Calvin Harris for the top spot as the most sampled artist. Winning by only 4%, David Guetta also landed at the number 9 spot on the most sampled tracks for his song, Dangerous featuring Sam Martin.
Although the data is pulled from all different genres, it is easy to see that the EDM industry dominates the market when it comes to sampling artists and tracks. Check out the impressive list below:
