In what might be one of the most metal things to ever actually happen, lightning struck Rock am Ring festival during Marilyn Manson’s set.
Approximately an hour after their set, lightning struck western Germany sending a total of 33 people to the hospital for evaluation and observation.
“The first lightning strike hit the festival early Saturday around 1 am. A second struck at around 3:30 am.”
According to authorities, all of the festival-goers involved were “in good health” and would soon be able to leave the hospital.
Electronic acts on the lineup include The Prodigy, Modestep and Netsky, both known for having live shows, fitting the majority rock/metal motif of the festival.
