Your EDM Exclusive Premiere: Trevor Kelly Drops New Activated LP + New Record Label

In the world of west coast bass music, Trevor Kelly is probably the most underrated artist on the scene today. With over half a decade of experience deep within the northern california bass culture, and a serious set of musical talents, Trevor knows a thing or two about bass music. Anyone who has seen him live can attest to the fact that Trevor’s music is truly a force to be reckoned with. His heavy, tripped out out west coast sound is absolutely dripping with a unique swagger that makes all of his tunes stand out from the talented pack of artists that have been crushing the norcal scene; and that is no small feat.

Today, in the midst of his most recent tour, Trevor has given us the opportunity to drop what might just be his most incredible project to date: the Activated LP. Not only is it his best work, but this massive new album also marks the launch of ShadowTrix Music; a brand new record label from the minds of Trevor Kelly and Humboldt bass music legend, Treemeista. This new label hopes to push the boundaries of west coast bass music, and elevate the culture to new heights through the freshest underground vibes the west coast has to offer.stm_logo1So it is with great honor that we have the privilege to present to you, one of the best albums to come out of the west coast bass music scene in recent memory. This wildly impressive 18 track project consists of intensely epic and club bangers, immaculately produced hip hop beats, and sexy future bass grooves that get stuck in your head days after you finally stop rinsing them.

Trevor Kelly’s style of production is unique, intricate, and practically flawless. In his hip hop tunes, the vocals are mixed into the track rather than resting above the whole beat, which it makes for a much more engaging experience. In the tracks without vocals, Trevor always keeps us on our toes with different drops and nuances that makes listening to them all the way through essential. That’s one of the reasons why we love Trevor Kelly so much; you never know what’s coming next, but you know you want more of it. Much like the individual tunes, the album itself is something that listeners need to hear from start to finish at least once to properly appreciate. This is a proper album, and one of the most cohesive that I’ve had the pleasure to review in quite some time.

So what are you waiting for? Grab this amazing piece of art Here, go show ShadowTrix some love, and keep a look out for Trevor if you happen to be on the west coast this summer. I have a feeling it’s going to be an explosive year for this badman.
