Wax Motif is a name I really stared to pay attention to recently after hearing his collaborative effort with Hunter Siegel ” All Night Man”. This upcoming remix of “Raise Your Weapon” is as fresh as it is groovy. Getting to hear a remix of my favorite Deadmau5 song was an absolute treat and a trip down nostalgia lane.
Wax creates a hybrid of house and electro that contains a perfect balance of both genres. A nice little touch is the downpitching of the vocals right before the drop to further add impact. It’s very apparnet that the remixers for the upcoming “5 years of mau5” EP were chosen carefully and with a lot of thought.
