Sadly, while Stephen Walking’s streak ends for Monstercat, they aren’t finishing this album without a bang. The announcement of “Anime Bae” by Sushi Killer & Kevin Villecco came as a surprise to everyone. For those of you who aren’t familiar with Sushi Killer, I suggest checking out this live mashup he did on a pair of midi fighters. Sushi is also joined by Kevin, and together they bring to create a very polarizing track. There is a heavy tie to anime and kawaii, like elements from the track’s name itself, to the strong anamanaguchi influences. I can’t promise this track will be for everyone, but for those of you who like future bass or anime, I’m fairly certain you’ll find yourself hooked on this song.
