Twenty-one year old launchpad expert M4SONIC, has teamed up with Denzal Park and Dirt Cheap to bring you something that’s a throwback to the style of music seen on Daft Punk’s album Discovery. One of my favorite things to hear in music is a vocoder, and these three really hit the nail on the head with this one. The vocal samples are frequent and repetitive, and I mean this in a good way. There is a very pop feel to this track, which is why I referenced Discovery. The simple nature of it makes it catchy and the lack of a drop makes it a song that fans of older electronic music will appreciate. I found this song to be one of the more refreshing songs to come out this year, as the artists who made it weren’t afraid to make something melodic and without a focus on a big drop. Really great job from these guys and I hope this is just the start.
