Our Time is releasing a special VIP edit of their melodic bass hit “This Is Our Time.” The original makes heavy use of an autotuned vocal hook and mainstage synths to build up a unique feeling of suspense just before the drop. The second drop goes into some pretty heavy electro but, all in all, the original just feels unfulfilled.
That’s where the VIP comes into play. Right from the start, the track sounds like some heavy grunge version of Justice, with staggering heavy kicks and the original vocal hook on repeat. The drop this time is significantly different from either in the original, with heavily modulated bass waves and a soaring synth picking up the back end. Like the original, the second drop switches it up throwing down a more trap influenced beat and keeps things interesting.
