Anxiously anticipating what would come next, with no genuine idea of what song he would play or what he would sample; the element of mystery kept my ears firmly locked to the mix. Transitions are rapid and perfectly executed; continually pushing the tempo to new heights. Masterfully blending hit tracks from bands such as Franz Ferdinand and Jimmy Eat world with an electronic backbone, Popeska’s mix feels as equally nostalgic as it does fresh. The amount of work put into this mix is audibly apparent by the shear number of edits and mashups of his own creation intertwined with a unique blend of genre-bending favorites.
