Flume‘s upcoming album won’t come as a surprise if you have been following the Australian producer over the past year. We’ve been wondering about how that project is progressing, and now we have some insight on it. Flume recently sat down with triple j to talk a little about how this anticipated album is coming together. Luckily for everyone, it is coming together well, and even Harley is impressed with himself.
“I’ve got a bunch of stuff down and it’s super exciting because I think it’s really strong”
Aside from having big records, these records aren’t being created in the most conventional of ways. Flume has decided to look in interesting places for samples to use; for example, cartoon sound effects and things like ice cracking are being implemented into the arrangement of his songs. Although the material is said to arrive “real soon,” we have no solidified date yet on when anything is coming out. Given that he’s started to talk more about the album, we can hope that it is just over the horizon. Check out the interview below and be on the ready for more information as it comes to light.
“From a sonic standpoint the new stuff sounds so much bigger. It’s exciting”
