Remember when “Vikings” came out from Montreal’s Botnek and Las Vegas’ 3LAU? The collaborative track let loose from Jack U‘s set at Ultra this past year and people still go nuts to the original. Now, L.A.’s new rising duo known as the Bixel Boys have taken “Vikings” and injected it with enough future house to knock you on the floor.
This remix is another perfect addition to their arsenal of fantastic remixes. From Golden Features, Kiesza, Architecture in Helsinki, and more, their take on “Vikings” is a combination of superb engineering and brilliant groove. The remix creates a fresh melody to accompany the dark tone they convey between each kick. And just like that, the Bixel Boys take an electro house super-banger and flip it into something entirely different and funky.
