The deep web is something that is both mysterious and intriguing to me. I can say the same for Aphex Twin, although his music is no mystery; but the man has a special sense about him. After having a blimp flown through the sky in London, the producer made the announcement of his new album, SYRO, on the deep web. Posted to a .onion website, the contents included a text revealing the album title and tracklist, along with the artwork. It has been a long time coming for material from Aphex Twin, whose last album, Drukqs, came out in 2001. With all the groundbreaking things that have happened since, his return should send some of the biggest shockwaves the scene has seen. Ever.
