There is a strange obsession with ranking DJs, music, talent, festivals, etc… even though much of it is subjective. We continue to see a myriad of different competitions and awards pop up every year claiming to distinguish the best DJ or best artist from the rest. The America’s Top DJ competition is really not that much different, as it’s based on letting people vote for their favorite DJ, akin to DJ Mag’s Top 100 competition. The only reason America’s Top DJ is not under as much scrutiny is because DJs and artists aren’t as obsessed with it, nor do they dump thousands upon thousands of dollars into idiotic marketing campaigns to promote themselves in hopes of climbing a few ranks on the chart. Whatever your opinion may be on the matter, this year’s America’s Best DJ just released the current top 10 contenders for the award, which are as follows:
‘America’s Best DJ’ current Top 10 finalists
In alphabetical order
A-Trak
Diplo

Vice
