Daddy’s Groove & Cryogenix – Blackout [Ultra]

Daddy's Groove & Cryogenix - Blackout

Whenever the names Daddy’s Groove and Cryogenix appear with a new track, it turns out to be total fire. Their two songs “Tilt” and “Vertigo” have displayed their mastery over unique sounds while maintaining infectious rhythm. They’ve even worked on great remixes together for Sam La More, Meck, and Miguel Verdolva showing a great relationship between the two trios. But now these two are coming out with their highly anticipated collaboration called “Blackout” on the Ultra record label.

This new project from these six guys ditches the big room vibes of their previous works and adopts the groovy sounds of classic house. The build is an eclectic collection of glitchy plucks and melodic piano that captures our ears and attentions. In place of a hard drop that we would expect from Daddy’s Groove and Cryogenix, we are presented with a very bouncy dose of bass-lines and hi-hats. It is no wonder why David Guetta has Daddy’s Groove as part of his F**K ME I’M FAMOUS Residency in Ibiza for the summer. Time and time again, DG and Cryongenix prove themselves as great producers in this all too competitive world of modern dance music.

Check out the preview on Soundcloud or grab the song now on Beatport. Let us know what you think of this dope track as well.
