There’s a lot I could say about the original track by Seventy Minus One… For instance, they sound and look way too much like a bad combination between Sum 41 and Blink 182. Throw in some Good Charlotte, perhaps, and you’ve got the 90s alt-rock scene on lock.
However, all that being said, it takes a producer like TOER to really bump up the quality of a track like this. And honestly, because of the build up, I was really hoping that this would come out as some happy hardcore. Still, this happy drum & bass track (if I was to call it anything) is so wonderfully original and well-designed that I really don’t care. It’s not quite liquid, but I can see how some people would think that. Whatever you might choose to classify this great remix as, you can’t deny that you’re jumping around in your room, or at the office, or in the car, right now. Heck, TOER even managed to improve the sound of the vocals.
