Electric Daisy Carnival could be making a comeback to its roots in Southern California, according to recent interviews with Insomniac Events CEO Pasquale Rotella. Although EDC would not relocate from Vegas to LA, an additional city in SoCal may be in the works. The biggest obstacle, (aside from the failed lawsuit brought on by EDC’s original location, LA Coliseum) would be finding the right venue that has the capacity to host hundreds of thousands of “headliners,” or EDC attendees.

“I’m looking forward to bringing some of our known festivals back to California,” Rotella said in an interview with MTV.”That’s where I come from, so it’s super exciting to me. There is a huge demand and there is a huge fanbase there– we are in the middle of working that out.”

In the meantime, check out the EDC Vegas lineup and read Rotella’s message to fans on his thoughts around festival energy and EDM culture.
