For the fourth time ever, Calvin Harris has solely sat atop the UK sales chart, this time because of his single “Summer.” Two other times he has taken the #1 spot with collaborators, so with sixth total he is no stranger to success. From Chrome’s 2008 hit “Dance Wiv Me” until now, Calvin has come a long way and ended up being one of the most prominent, and wealthy, producers of electronic dance music. The Grammy winning Scot had quite the performance at Coachella and you bet your ass “Summer” found its way out of the speakers to help usher in the second biggest crowd in the festival’s history. It’s lonely at the top, but good thing this “sellout” also has Dillon Francis to accompany him now. As for the UK charts, though, he’s got that all to himself at the moment.
