My Thoughts: A crazy range of genres are displayed here; leading in is incredibly heavy dubstep with a smattering of melodic works to kick it off before descending into a dream-trap roll that really keeps the listener interested. Though this mix might not work into the most dance-able set, it is professionally crafted and a really excellent listener set, especially if you’re on a road-trip; trust me I listened to this on the three hour ride home that I had to endure yesterday.
Some words on the mix from the artist: This mix reflects directly to the kind of week I was having, Intense & a bit of everything happened… IN THE BEST WAY! This mix starts off hard! If you can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen… Then half way through I got this mad trap vibe & rolled with it, it turned out really cool, as even though Dubstep & this (Love/ Dream) Trap are around the same tempo of 140, they couldn’t be further apart in vibe, which is nice because that’s not usually done in a mix, I don’t think it’d work live unless the crowd consisted of me, but for a listening prospective I think it works really well, it’s like being in a New York back alley with your hood up then half way through, teleporting to sunny California wearing some Raybans in your Ferrari… So, if you like bass, beats, melodies & sporadic/ funky music then this is right up your alley!
