Electric Zoo had its share of problems last year when “serious health risks” forced the last day to be canceled. Though, now, we can all breathe a sigh of relief as EZoo has announced the dates for this year’s festival Labor Day weekend, August 29-31.
“We are incredibly excited to bring Electric Zoo back to New York. Over the past five years, Electric Zoo has grown tremendously, becoming a critically acclaimed, internationally recognized music festival,” creators Mike Bindra and Laura De Palma said in a press release. ”The opportunity to again host Electric Zoo on Randall’s Island is a responsibility we take seriously, and we look forward to expanding our safety and security measures in order to further improve the concert experience for our fans.”
Among the new safety regulations concert goers are required to adhere to is an anti-drug announcement that ticket buyers must watch before the event that will activate their wristbands for entry. Additionally, the event’s time frame will be shortened to allow for less sun exposure.
Pre-sale tickets for Electric Zoo 2014 go on sale next week, April 29, and require a user account on the Made Event official website.
