Oakland’s resident musical artist Lafa Taylor brought the heat this 4/20 with the release of his thirteen track album, Not One Thing. There is a digital album that is purchasable, but there is also a CD version that you can buy from Lafa’s Bandcamp profile page. However, the single “Heaters” is available as an exclusive download through this article.
The whole album is worthwhile though; the hip-hop/trap fusion makes for a compelling concoction of fresh rhymes and dope beats. The instrumentals are incredibly exemplary throughout the entire project and they lend themselves nicely to a crowd that is looking for lively tunes. Collaborators on the album include Marv Ellis, Russ Liquid, Two Hands, AfroQBen and AfroMassive. Lafa Taylor made his comeback in a big way with this LP. After six years of being out, the artist is back and ready for action. Some of that action will come in the form of some big collaborations in the future. So stay tuned.
