Sony Pictures has signed a pre-emptive deal to acquire the romantic comedy I’m In Love With A DJ from Lauryn Kahn, a former assistant to Funny or Die founder Adam McKay. The movie will star Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly with McKay (Anchorman, Talladega Nights, Step Brothers, East Bound & Down) directing. The R-rated story will follow two friends who tag along with a female acquaintance on a business trip. The trip quickly turns into a search for an attractive DJ, which leads the group on a goose chase through the electronic dance music scene.
Information on the film is still pretty slim, and production has not begun so we will keep our ear to the ground for more on this developing story.
