In light of his upcoming instrumental album, A$AP Rocky released his self-directed art video that features on of the songs off of the album. The ominous production from Baauer fits perfectly with the murky video that I know some people won’t get or may be offended by the scary/creep elements, but I don’t think it’s too frightening. It’s a trip for sure though, and definitely “out there”, but the highlight for me is Baauer’s contribution. The dismal qualities the instrumental possesses conjure up emotions, whether they be enjoyable to you at this moment or not. Baauer producing something like this proves his versatility as a producer; it’s not easy to make this minimal style of music and have the production be so potent.
