Beatport is finally unveiling the results of its first ever Beatport Awards installment. Spanning multiple categories, this year’s awards saw nominees such as Spinnin’ Records and Dim Mak for the Best Label award and the likes of Daft Punk’s Random Access Memories and Disclosure’s Settle for Best Album. Now the winners aren’t selected solely based on popular opinion, according to the Beatport this is how they picked the winners:
“Winners are chosen in each category based on a host of criteria including total unit sales on Beatport, dance music community fan favorites, as well as selected by a trusted panel of dance industry experts within Beatport.”
