It wasn’t but a couple of days ago that we reported Kaleidoscope Music Festival in Oregon was relocating due to noise, trash, and traffic complaints from the surrounding citizens.
It seems now that Wavefront Festival in Chicago, IL is the latest to succumb to the demands of the other-folk. It has not yet been decided whether or not Wavefront is going to have to relocate, but city officials are waiting on Dino Gardiakos of 4 Headed Productions and others promoting the event to propose a plan to ameliorate citizens and mitigate damages. 
Last year, residents of Edgewater and Rogers Park reportedly had pictures and paintings sliding down walls. According to DNAinfo:
Organizers have pledged to reduce the number of stages, reconfigure speaker orientation and perform extensive sound tests so a team of sound engineers could determine how to minimize noise reaching as far from the festival as it did last year.
There’s only so much that can be done; however, State Representative Alderman Osterman does not support the event in the first place. It seems that if he is not pleased with the renovations and revisions to stage and sound set-up, the event will need to find new accommodations for 2014.
