The acid house king, Tony Colston-Hayter, who put together the biggest raves in England during the 1980’s, has been arrested for a huge cyber heist that resulted in £1.3 million and identity information from 24,000 people. The money was used for various luxury shopping sprees by Tony and his crew. Tony pleaded guilty along with four of his conspirators, while five others face trials later this year.
Tony has been involved in controversy before, with his raves attracting youngsters, many of which took drugs. These rave events were then banned, but that didn’t stop the party. From raves, to gambling, to engineering to fraud, Tony’s life has been quite the ride. It sucks to hear unfortunate news about someone so big in the industry, but justice must have its day.
