How much is festival noise bleeding worth in Las Vegas? Apparently $278 million according to a report by Beacon Economics LLC. Insomniac’s Electric Daisy Carnival made a huge economic impact on Nevada’s Clark County this year, which saw a 38% increase in attendee spending from 2012. The 345,000 attendees traveled from all 50 states and 46 international countries to attend the third annual EDM spectacle.
“Each year our goal with EDC Las Vegas is to improve the fan experience and I’m so happy that, as we continue to improve and grow, that Clark County continues to benefit too,” said Pasquale Rotella. “The Insomniac family and our fans have truly embraced Las Vegas as our home during EDC Week in the City, and the idea that the fans get to have fun while also creating hundreds of millions of dollars for the local economy is truly a win-win situation. We’re already looking forward to returning in 2014.”
This is a huge announcement for festivals who are met by hesitant and disgruntled local residents. Check out the breakdown below and catch the press release here.
