ADE 2013 Attracts Record-Breaking Crowds

ADE

This past weekend saw the 18th annual Amsterdam Dance Event, a 5-day electronic music event that takes place in the well-known Dutch city each October. The festival, featuring 2156 artists, brought in a record-breaking 300,000 visitors this year. Performers included Armin van Buuren, Calvin Harris, Pete Tong, and Tiesto.

In addition to the performance aspect, ADE also features a business platform for those working within the electronic music industry. Speakers included Nile Rodgers, Kyle Hopkins (Microsoft/Xbox), and Duncan Stutterheim (ID&T). With 5000 industry professionals participating, the business conference aspect of ADE was also a resounding success.

The Amsterdam Dance Event has grown immensely over the past 18 years. Starting out with only thirty DJs and three venues in 1996, the festival has now grown to include 115 clubs and venues, 300 individual events, and 317 speakers. With the immense success of this year’s session, we’re excited to see what the next few years will bring!
