Leading up to the premiere of Hardwell’s upcoming documentary “I Am Hardwell”, exQlusiv had the opportunity to quickly interview some of the biggest acts in the scene about who they thought would earn the coveted although at times controversial title of number 1 DJ in the world. Well according to all interviewed, including Tiesto and Armin Van Buuren to name a few, Hardwell will be the next holder of the title. In their demeanors and confidence in their responses alone, I’d gamble that these big names know something we don’t but I’ll leave that up to you to decide. You can watch the video below:

Whether u agree or not that he should be #1 DJ, there is 1 thing you can’t deny. His shows are packed & he gets the crowd going. That in itself is part of being a good DJ.

This isn’t a competition for “#1 producer”, it’s a competition for “#1 DJ”. For example: why would David Guetta be so high up on the standings? He sucks at producing, but he can really attract a crowd and get people dancing. I saw Hardwell at EDC Chicago and he killed his set! His tomorrowland set was amazing as well. Armin probably should still be #1 DJ, but Hardwell worked his ass off this year and thats why he deserves it. Also, they should have a #1 DJ competition for every EDM sub genre. Cause lets be honest, a trap concert is no deep house party. Every sub genre has a different vibe, sound, and tempo and thats what makes each one so unique. It would make it more fair for the DJ’s and everyone would be happy and nobody would be butt hurt.
It’s just impossible for house DJ to reach #1 in top100. TRANCE4LIFE!
