Having just past 250,000 followers on Soundcloud, Deadmau5 has now uploaded a number of small tidbits to his fuckmylife page. The new sounds tell the progression of a musical idea in various stages. The general consensus is that they sound reminiscent of Nine Inch Nails due to the overdriven guitar and the overall industrial nature. The sounds after the jump are in the order of how he uploaded them over time.
These two are much more reminiscent of the Tron soundtrack than Trent Reznor.

This is incredible. I’ve always been waiting for someone with a big name to come and change the books of EDM. It’s now all about people like Afrojack, SHM, Steve Aoki and the mainstream people like Will.I.Am absolutely ruining the genre. Thank you DeadMau5.
