Tiesto & Steve Aoki‘s collaboration on Dim Mak, Tornado, came out in late 2011 but it was not until now that it got a proper remix treatment. Sometimes, these type of things are worth the wait. Felix Cartal, Angger Dimas and Kill the Noise each lend their hand at a remix for this EP, with Kill the Noise‘s remix adding vocals by the popular EDM vocalist Polina. Each new take on the track is different from the original, and each is different from the other remixes as well. My favorite remix is Felix Cartal‘s take on the track. Felix makes use of the same melody with different synths, and goes with a big room sounding drop reminiscent of Hardwell‘s Spaceman, while still keeping true to his unorthodox “Felix” sound. Kill the Noise‘s remix is definitely the most different from the original, the vocals from Polina add a certain touch to his celestial sounding notes at the beginning of the track and before long he drops into some heavy Dubstep that fans of his previous work will be sure to enjoy. Last but not least, Angger Dimas‘ effort is the most abstract out of the three remixes. The synth work he does for the tracks main melody brings to mind a funhouse, and his high energy drops are perfect for peak-time at any club or festival. Check out the three remixes below:
