Boombox Cartel’s hotly anticipated Cartel II EP is locked and loaded — and he recently dropped a fire collaboration with Moody Good, “Shadow” featuring Calivania.
“Shadow” delivers dark, ominous energy from unique, trap-fused vantage point, equipped with killer vocals and deadly drops. Not only does the single stand on its own as two forces in the bass world collide, it marks a new era of music from Boombox Cartel.
With no warning, the producer shared on social media earlier this month — “ONLY TOOK 4 YEARS BUT HERE WE ARE” — along with an image of a folder titled “CARTEL II EP FINALS.”
Boombox Cartel has made a name for himself among trap’s elite, with the original Cartel EP bringing to life five instant classics “Phoenix,” “Jefe,” “Alamo” with Shoffy, “Dem Fraid” with Taranchyla, and “Widdit” with QUIX. The producer’s distinct blend of trap, dubstep and future bass has forever changed the game — and four years later, we’re more than ready to hear the next installment.
No release date or tracklist available for the Cartel II EP just yet, but “Shadow” has undoubtedly captured our attention.
