Back in April, Nicky Romero and Deniz Koyu released their titanic progressive house anthem “Destiny.” Featuring soaring vocals from Alexander Tidebrink, this song was sure to be played out at festival main stages across the globe. Now, Nicky’s fellow Dutchman MOTi has given “Destiny” a more uptempo and groovier spin; while still retaining all the epic feels of the original.
Bright synths get layered behind Tidebrink’s vocals during the verse. Some piano notes and hand claps get you in the groove and let you know that this mix of the song is a little different. The bright pianos and drums match up with the vocals as the track starts building up. The drop is just the perfect summer sound, bright horns and a light beat, but enough bass to keep you grooving.
To make a sports analogy, MOTi is like the Alex Caruso of dance music. It doesn’t matter what he’s doing, so long as he’s involved you know it’s going to be good and fun. Check out the MOTi remix of Nicky Romero & Deniz Koyu’s “Destiny” featuring Alexander Tidebrink out now on Protocol.
