Disclosure Unveils Final New Song This Week, “Where You Come From”

It’s been a fantastic week of surprise tracks from Disclosure, with five new songs to draw inspiration from, including today’s “Where You Come From.” Whereas past singles sampled American bands from the ’40s-’80s, this new one gets its influences from African artists.

“‘Where You Come From’ samples the incredible Sudanese artist Kamal Keila and a few other tracks from the amazing record label Habibi Funk.” – Disclosure

Disclosure released “Ultimatum” earlier this year after a long hiatus before surprising fans with this new batch of songs. Across the five songs released this week, the Lawrence brothers explore a depth of influences that draw from their love of African rhythms, deep house, disco and vocal jazz.

“All of these tracks are sample based and we wanted to delve into genres that we hadn’t really experimented with in the past. What we ended up with worked so well together as a set – uplifting, upbeat and danceable, and it made sense to put them all out now in one go.” – Disclosure
