Industrial rock group Nine Inch Nails have recently announced their new album “Hesitation Marks”, to be released on September 3rd on Columbia Records, and with the announcement came a brand new single “Come Back Haunted”. The new release will be included in the LP but is currently available for purchase on iTunes, which allowed us to listen to the group’s foray into electronic music. Come Back Haunted contains numerous overlay of dissonant synths, driven by a rhythmic background drum. At this point it’s rather unclear whether the entire album will have an electronic undertone or, if like in Muse’s latest LP, Come Back Haunted will be the oddity out of the pack.
