REPORT: Lorde Pulls The Plug On Grammy Performance

The biggest night in music is almost here, but apparently one expected performer isn’t joining in on the celebration…

As TMZ reports, Lorde will not be on the red carpet or singing live tonight. According to inside sources, she was asked to sing as part of the Tom Petty tribute instead of one of her own songs. She took this as a “slap in the face,”  so the report reads.

After the two sides couldn’t come to an agreement, Lorde pulled the plug altogether.

Bruno Mars, Childish Gambino, Kendrick Lamar, Miley Cyrus and many more are still expected to perform live tonight on the Grammy Awards.

The 60th Annual Grammy Awards hosted by James Corden tonight are tonight at  7:30 p.m. ET/4:30 p.m. PT on CBS. More info here.
