The hearts of Martin Garrix fans skipped a beat when they saw the following tweets declaring the producer would release his most beloved unreleased track, “Rewind Repeat It” with Ed Sheeran.
At first glance the tweet looked legit, and Martin Garrix’s message to fans was exactly the news they wanted to hear:
“Excited to announce that I’ll finally be putting out ‘Rewind Repeat It’, the track I did with my super talented brother @edsheeran! Releasing next Friday 12th Jan. I love this feeling!”
But at second glance, this isn’t the real Martin Garrix at all. Just a troll that goes by @MartinGarrixHub.

Garrix fans who fell for the misleading tweets shared mixed emotions, ranging from excitement to frustration to pure sadness. There’s still a chance “Rewind Repeat It” could get an official release, but don’t count on it.
