What’s it like to work with each other on a day to day basis? Do sibling rivalries come into play when you guys are producing tracks together, or just the occasional wrestling match over the last beer?
We have been doing this for so long that it would feel wrong if we weren’t together. We get on really well, so its more about fighting over the last beer, although we would probably just split it in half.
I’m from Boston, so mixing a Boston classic rock song with electronic is a huge success in my book. What was the inspiration behind remixing Boston’s More Than a Feeling?
We were at an indie party and the DJ started playing the song. We heard it and thought this would make a good dance record. We got a guy to re-sing it and made the track.
How did you guys end up working with Christina Milian and Lil Wayne on “Hello?”
We moved to the USA to work with Rappers so Lil Wayne was at the top of the list, we are in the same management so that was all put together. For the female vocalist we wanted Christina and it happened, so we are really happy the way its all worked out.
I’ve been watching a lot of StaffordTV on your YouTube channel and you guys definitely know how to have a good time. If I’ve learned one thing about traveling, it’s that Australians party harder than anybody. What is it about Australia that bring out the party in everyone?
I’m not really sure, we are known for our partying. Its also in our genes, our parents love to party too, in fact they are coming to Vegas this weekend as we are playing out there. They will be out all night!
Your radio show, Something Big, is packed with energy episode after episode. What can we expect to hear from this newest episode, feather a guest mix by Cedric Gervais?
Every episode we like to feature new tracks, we also like to feature records we are playing in the club, so it feels a lot like our shows. Having a big artist every week talking about their own production is the icing on the cake.
I’m a big fan of you’re new track, Cowbell, which you guys also put out for a free download for your fans. It’s cool to see artists do give aways for their fans like that. From your side, is it a matter of marketing and getting your music out there, or just wanting people to here the music you make?
We want people to be all over our music, with the internet giving away tracks some of the time helps to push your brand, and I think people also like getting something back. I hope they will then buy the next track if they are digging our sound.
Talk to us about how you felt being voted the #1 DJs in Australia?
Its great because we had been number 2 before so being number 1 for the last 2 years has been pretty special.
What does your summer schedule look like as far as touring and producing?
It’s more touring than producing this summer, its really crazy to be honest, we have so many shows and we are also over in Europe and Asia.
Anything else you want your fans to know?
