Diplo dropped a surprise on his Lazer Sound iTunes Radio show this past weekend, when he premiered a new Major Lazer song with Lorde and Jamaican vocalist Vybz Kartel. The preview was less than a minute, with barely a repeated vocal and simple beat to the mix, but we’re already extremely excited about the collaboration.
The track is wildly different than anything Lorde tried on her latest album Melodrama, and it’s even a bit of a new vibe for Major Lazer, making use of a star vocalist like Lorde.
The preview quickly fades out before Diplo exclaims, “We cannot let that one escape yet.”
The ID is still untitled, and we have no information on a release date, but you heard it here first: Major Lazer x Lorde x Vybz Kartel… it’s coming.
