Illenium Drops New Single Week Before Album Release

Illenium Illenium

Melodic prodigy Illenium has seen his biggest rise in 2017, becoming one of the most talked about names in the dance community. From touring with the likes of The Chainsmokers and Zeds Dead, the latter of which he also worked on his hit collab “Where The Wild Things Are” with, to playing festivals across the nation including making his EDC debut over the summer, Illenium has stepped up into a major player in the electronic world. Gearing up for the release of his 2nd studio album “Awake,” which features collaborations with Said the Sky, MAX, Ember Island and more, as well as including previously released singles “Fractures” featuring Nevve, “Sound of Walking Away” featuring Kerli and “Crawl Outta Love” featuring Annika Wells, the tear jerking talent hits us with another new release just a week before the full LP is set to drop.

From bliss filled piano to haunting phone recordings that kick off the song, and building to a climax of sonic genius, “Leaving” continues to put you in the feels until the tension releases at the drop with a mad combination of masterfully curated percussion and rhythmic melodies which showcase why Illenium is becoming the powerhouse DJ that the world needs in 2017. You can check out the new single below, and prepare for “Awake” to drop on Thursday, September 21st on Seeking Blue and Kasaya Records.
