Backstreet is Back, and Hopes to Collab with Aoki, Zedd, Diplo, Chainsmokers on New Record

Show 'Em What You're Made Of, a new documentary, tracks the 20-year career of the Backstreet Boys.

Backstreet’s back, alright! We’re serious… The Backstreet Boys are literally coming back!

To revamp their act BSB has reportedly signed to RCA Records for their 10th studio album, and the iconic boy band is looking for some electronic music producers to get in on the project. Come to find out, these guys could be working with several of the scene’s biggest names like Steve Aoki, Zedd, Diplo and The Chainsmokers.

AJ McLean exclusively told ET Online:

“We’re reaching out to people who we were always inspired by or who may have been fans and we didn’t even know. We’ve all made friends with different people. Nick’s been talking to Steve Aoki, Howie talked to Zedd, who’s been a big, big fan [and] Diplo, we’ve also talked to. We’ve also done stuff with The Chainsmokers and those guys are amazing and out in Vegas with a residency as well, so who knows.”

OMG! While the teenage fangirl inside all of us is freaking out, our heads are having a hard time wrapping around all of this. Although we can’t even imagine what a The Backstreet Boys x The Chainsmokers song would sound like, we’ve had a taste of what a live performance between the band and Steve Aoki would look like (watch).

It seems the 90s are making a full-force comeback, and a comeback without the poster children, the epitome of the decade — The Backstreet Boys just wouldn’t be the same! We’re interested to hear where this leads.
