DJ Mag’s Best of North America Awards Crowns Green Velvet, 12th Planet, Porter Robinson and More [RESULTS]

DJ Mag‘s first ever “Best of North America Awards” strived to uncover and highlight the acts, labels, and venues in electronic music that helped the underground thrive in 2017… and the results are in!

Chicago tech house legend Green Velvet comes out on top, snagging the award for “Best DJ,” while LA-based heavy-hitter 12th Planet gains recognition as “Best Producer” for his monster dubstep and d&b soundscapes. Porter Robinson deservingly boasts the title of “Best Live Act,” after the wide success of his Worlds live tour and co-headlining Shelter live tour with Madeon.

Sonny Moore AKA Skrillex’s label OWSLA, which represents Getter, Mija, What So Not, Josh Pan, Valentino Khan, and more, unsurprisingly takes the “Best Label” title. Monstercat deservingly nabs “Best Breakthrough Label,” for its work with Slushii, Krewella, Jauz, Seven Lions, and San Holo, just to name a few.

“Best Album” goes to Kaytranada for 99.9% and “Best Track” goes to Honey Dijon – “Houze” Feat. Seven Davis Jr., while Dirtybird wins for “Best Compilation.”
