Future’s mega-hit “Mask Off” just got remixed by quite the ironic figure: Marshmello.
The DJ, known for his marshmallow helmet and saccharine beats, dropped his remix for the Future track today, surprising many with a legitimate jersey club tune, something that he hasn’t really tried as of yet. While his previous releases have primarily been focused on a sort of cheesy trap vibe, the “Mask Off” remix makes full use of all the jersey club tropes: squeaky beds, looped drums, and more.
This likely won’t be the track that Marshmello drops during the climax of his set, but the familiarity with lyrics should still manage to get the crowd moving regardless.
