Deep house fans everywhere could be forgiven for thinking that Bakermat and the vocalist from Jack Ü’s “Take U There,” Kiesza, teaming up for a track might be too good to be true. On paper, it looks amazing and in real life? It sounds even better than I could have imagined.
“Don’t Want You Back” is a powerful dance-pop anthem with a message that anybody can relate to. Kiesza showcases her impressive vocal range and versatility over Bakermat’s heart-pounding, piano-driven instrumental wonderfully. And honestly, the single has all of the ingredients of a breakout summer house hit. Between its gorgeous blend of 90s piano house and feel-good vocals, the catchy hooks should have listeners all over breaking out in song and dance after a few listens – if you aren’t already that is.
