Arcade Fire just announced a new single “Everything Now” and forthcoming album under the same title, and before you start wondering what the hell that has to do with EDM, let us just tell you…
Daft Punk‘s Thomas Bangalter co-produced the leading single, along with Arcade Fire and Steve Mackey of Pulp, and rubbed off a little of the famous duo’s electro disco style in doing so. “Everything Now” is the perfect blend of cool synths and edgy indie rock, marking the triamphant return of the beloved band.
Everything Now, due out July 28th, is the band’s follow up to 2013’s Reflektor — interestingly enough, the same year Daft Punk’s Random Access Memories came out. Let’s hope they take this as a hint that it’s about time for some new music!
The more far removed Daft Punk becomes from the spotlight, the more excited we get to hear gems like this! Enjoy!
