Couple Visits the Exumas to Film Fyre Festival Aftermath and Gets Kicked Out [WATCH]

Fyre Festival should be a distant memory by now, but the event-that-never-happened is still making headlines for multiple lawsuits, giving out 2018 VIP passes in lieu of refunds, and the ridiculous amount of money shelled out to celebs for social media promotion. The more we learn about the festival disaster, the more it feeds the “fyre” so to speak.

With the non-event still buzzing, one couple thought it’d be fun to take a tour of the deserted festival grounds in the Exumas while on vacation nearby. They grabbed a camera and set off in a hotel golf cart to capture the aftermath in a video titled “Dumpster Fyre.” The video showcases what’s left of Fyre Fest — from the infamous concierge desk, to a deserted pile of mattresses, to the disaster relief tents, the “luxury” showers, leftover trash, and everything in between. It’s kind of sad seeing what could have been.

What starts as an innocent exploration of the unfinished construction becomes increasingly reckless and the couple ultimately gets kicked out… Kind of makes us wonder if this video will spark another lawsuit.

The post by Dave Mehta states:

“#FyreFestival, THE AFTERMATH! Was so curious about the Fyre Festival debacle I had to check this out first-hand. The stories locals told us were priceless. It’s the epic-fail paired with millennial-privilege that made this all so deliciously laughable, but it was a bit sad seeing all the waste and hearing stories of the how some of the local laborers got stiffed. It’s wild because I really think this could have been great, especially after seeing it first hand. If only they waited to plan properly; if only that one super-eloquent organizer hadn’t rallied everyone with his powerful words… ‘let’s just do it and be legends bro!'”
