The same promoter that brought you festivals like Bonnaroo and Outside Lands just got one step closer to throwing another massive music event –this time, in the great state of Colorado!
Superfly‘s proposed festival, modeled after the promotion company’s successful ventures, would begin in 2018 and bring in 30,000-60,000 people per day, over 3 days, every year. As for location, The City of Denver has recommended moving forward in the process to host the brand new music festival, potentially at Overland Park Golf Course. Now that the promoter and city are on board it’s time for negotiations.
“It’s an exciting opportunity for Denver,” Katy Strascina, the executive director for the Office of Special Events stated in a release. “We look forward to continued community engagement through the next phase of the process to ensure that local interests and values continue to play a part in the planning of the festival.”
Ultimately, the festival depends on the proceeding negotiations, but if we have any say in the matter this needs to happen. Colorado’s unparalleled landscape, gorgeous weather, and laid back vibes would make for a killer large-scale festival environment!
