Moogfest Unveils Engrossing 2017 Lineup

A longstanding electronic music festival in North Carolina, Moogfest returns this year but debuts at a new location of Durham. The festival has undergone a number of changes over the years, and this year’s lineup roll-out dragged a bit, but the 2017 lineup reveal has assuaged all worries with a fantastic lineup of music and speakers alike.

The music lineup represents a bit of a “greatest hits” for Moogfest, with previous favorites like Flying Lotus, Animal Collective, Simian Mobile Disco and others taking top spots on the bill. Undercard gets include 808 State, K-Hand, S U R V I V E, Jessy Lanza, Derrick May, JDH & Dave P and many more. The speaker lineup is nothing to balk at either, with MIT professor Joe Davis, R.E.M. member Michael Stipe performing a solo composition, Large Hadron Collider-affiliated physicist Dr. Kate Shaw, Kyle Dixon & Michael Stein of S U R V I V E performing pieces of the Stranger Things soundtrack and others to both entertain and inform attendees. More artists will be added in the future.

Moogfest hits Durham, North Carolina on May 18-21. Head to Eventbrite to purchase tickets before they sell out. View the lineup below:
