According to sources close to Billboard, Lady Gaga will replace Beyoncé both weekends on the polo fields. These sources say that Coachella and AEG are finalizing plans to bring Lady Gaga’s stage production to the festival and will make the official announcement in a matter of days.
This comes at odds with a previous rumor that Rihanna and Chance The Rapper would co-headline the festival both weekends, as well as a rumor having to do with a possible Spring Tour from Daft Punk.
In a previous article on betting odds, Lady Gaga was listed fourth most likely to replace Beyonce, with 7:1 odds on her – so pretty spot on. Gaga’s Joanne World Tour kicks off Aug. 1 at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, B.C., and includes three nights at the Forum in Los Angeles as well as stops at iconic stadiums like Wrigley Field in Chicago, Citi Field in New York and Fenway Park in Boston.
