Yesterday, Porter Robinson shocked and confused many fans by saying that all but 11 of his songs are now “canon,” a term used quite often in fan fiction to differentiate between the official storyline and what isn’t.
Porter took to Snapchat today to officially clarify the statement made yesterday, and reaffirm that he was not being sarcastic; he also stated that it was unprovoked by anything, discrediting claims from fans that it was a playlist Spotify created yesterday which caused his outburst. He also said that he made the playlist himself.
